Explore ruins in the Roman city of Augusta Raurica (Switzerland) with this augmented reality app and immerse yourself in ancient life at the site. The Augusta Raurica augmented reality app and the accompanying audio drama tell the story of the last hours before the catastrophic fire around the year 300 in the Roman commercial buildings in Augusta Raurica. During the guided tour, you will find out exciting information about Roman everyday life, the archaeological finds, the ancient houses, their function and their inhabitants. The tour only functions at the site.

How does it work?
1. Connect to the museum’s WLAN at the site.
You will find the necessary information on the information board at the entrance.
2. Scan the QR code on the information board to access the website with information about the project and click on the link to the app.
Download the free app "Augusta Raurica AR Experience".
4. Load an entrance ticket, if you do not already have one.
5. Start the experience, put on your headphones and enjoy the journey into the past.

Tour information:
You will need headphones and a smartphone or tablet.
The augmented reality audio drama lasts approximately 18 minutes.
You can determine the duration of the rest of the tour depending on your interest.
The audio drama is available in 4 languages (German, English, Italian, French).
